WILLIAM ROBERT CHARLES BRIDGES.
Passed away suddenly whilst studying at Nottingham University.
Beloved son of Robert and Karen, loving brother of Harriet. Much loved grandson of John and Mary, dearly loved nephew of Jacqui and Gary. Sadly missed cousin of Paige and Darcie.
A PROMISING young writer died in his sleep while studying for his masters degree.
William Bridges, 23, a former pupil at The Perse School in Cambridge, was found by his parents in his flat in Nottingham where he was at the city's Trent University.
Will Bridges, Bruce Wayne, Superman, The Hick, or however else you knew him, sadly passed away in his sleep last week.
Will was an amazing friend to us all, who made us all laugh and smile, whose antics have become legendary, and whose legend will live with us for the rest of our lives. He was blessed with a sharp wit and lyrical tongue; a read through his Facebook profile can't but make you laugh. At the time of his passing, he had begun studying for an MA in Creative Writing, which had always been a his true passion. It is comforting that he had finally found enjoyment and motivation in his studies. In the short period he produced literature for his course, he had already had work accepted for publishing.
Will's world was polarised; he was too strong a personality to adopt the middle ground. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and was a man of principled opinions. He could never do things in half measures. Outwardly, his playful, mischievous and often whimsical nature always entertained, but beneath he held courage and decency. He always looked after his friends and family, and took pride in celebrating those he knew.
Although his life was short, he lived well, and with unparalleled drama and excitement. We are truly privileged to have known him. He will be remembered with great fondness and big smiles. In that way, he'll always be with us and a part of our lives. As a good friend said, he's probably upstairs eating burgers with Elvis now.
Letter From Heaven
When tomorrow starts without me,
and I'm not there to see;
If the sun should rise and find your eyes,
all filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry,
the way you did today,
while thinking of the many things,
we didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,
as much as I love you,
and each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me,
please try to understand,
that an Angel came and called my name,
and took me by the hand,
and said my place was ready,
in heaven far above,
and that I'd have to leave behind,
all those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away,
a tear fell from my eye,
for all life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for,
so much yet to do,
it seemed almost impossible,
that I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays,
the good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
and all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday,
just even for awhile,
I'd say goodbye and kiss you
and maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
that this could never be,
for emptiness and memories,
would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
my heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me,
from His great golden throne,
He said, "This is eternity,
and all I've promised you".
Today for life on earth is past,
but here it starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow,
but today will always last,
and since each day's the same day,
there's no longing for the past.
But you have been so faithful,
so trusting and so true.
Though there were times you did some things,
you knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven
and now at last you're free.
So won't you take my hand
and share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we're far apart,
for every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.

When a person you love passes away
Look to the night sky on a clear day.
The star that to you, appears to be bright,
Will be your loved one,
Looking upon you during the night.
The lights of heaven are what shows through
As your loved one watches all that you do.
When you feel lonely for the one that you love,
Look to the Heavens in the night sky above.

So Sorry for your Loss xx
PECIAL STAR
When you feel lonely, when the person you love passes away,
Look to the night sky after a clear day.
The star that to you, appears to be bright,
Will be your loved one...looking upon you during the night.
The lights of Heaven are what shows through
As your loved one watches all that you do.
When you feel lonely for the one that you love,
Look to the Heavens in the night sky above.

Such a shame for William and his family. My heart goes out to everybody who knew him. I am sure his wit and good sense of humor will always remain as a constant reminder of such a promising young man.
